Letting Go is the Way Forward 💫
This morning in my meditation I was sitting with releasing some things that have been weighing me down.
As uncomfortable as it can be to release things, it’s a necessary part of our growth and expansion.
I heard a quote recently that really resonated with me, “What you aren’t changing, you’re choosing.”
We’ve been conditioned in one way or another to “accept” that this is just the way things are in many areas of our life, and that we can’t change them, or that we somehow deserve to be where we are because of past experiences.
Which is a total lie…
A lie that I once believed too.
I was thinking about the old, unhealed version of me and what she looked like:
⭐️ angry
⭐️ scared
⭐️ anxious
⭐️ co-dependent
⭐️ depressed
⭐️ numbing
⭐️ low self esteem
⭐️ negative body image
⭐️ people pleaser
⭐️ unhealthy boundaries
⭐️ Insecure
⭐️ unhealthy relationships
⭐️ Looking on the outside for someone or something to fill my cup
When I look back at her, I don’t recognize her but, I have come to a place where I am thankful for her. She has taught me incredible lessons of what I don’t want, and shown me that I don’t have to shrink or dim my light, regardless of my experiences.
And then I sat with myself and looked at the healed version of myself:
🦚 Peaceful
🦚 Balanced
🦚 Joyful
🦚 Happy
🦚 Healthy Relationships
🦚 Healthy Boundaries
🦚 Healthy Self Image
🦚 Aligned with my truth
🦚 Clear
🦚 Guide by my intuition
🦚 Unbothered by others opinions of me
🦚 Shining my light, even in the darkness
🦚 Secure in who I am
🦚 Independent
The work I’ve done on myself hasn’t been easy. Doing inner work never is. But, it’s so vital to who you are as a person and creating the life you desire.
So I ask you today, what are you choosing? What are you tolerating? Do you believe you deserve more? What do you need to release, even if it’s painful? What is the life you envision for yourself? Are you living it?
As I begin to release some things from my life, I invite you to take a look at yours and see what you need to let go of.
Take some time this week to answer the questions above. Get real honest with yourself. Allow the truth to surface.
Letting go is the way forward.
What are you holding on to that needs to be released?
Stay Wild,
Jennifer
